SVRA Spring Vintage Results

The weather held out for most of the weekend. Despite cold temperatures and a lot of fog, we got two of our three races in without rain. Saturday, Jeff put the #0 Kohler Powered Lola on the pole for the Group 7 race. He was able to maintain the lead and bring home his first Vintage Car Event victory of the year. Ron ran a solid race in his #6 Kohler Powered Lola finishing third. Sunday's race saw Jeff start on the pole again and traded the lead with second place once early in the race before passing him for good a lap later and didn't relinquish the lead again. A second first place finish of the weekend for Jeff was a great result. Ron ran a strong race on Sunday with another third place finish.

SVRA celebrated Lola this past weekend and that provided us a third opportunity to race on Sunday in the Lola Reunion Race. Unfortunately, that's when the rain hit. Jeff started in second, after lap one took the lead. The track became slippery quick and in turn three a slight slide relegated Jeff to second and ultimately a 5th place finish.

A great start to the Vintage Car portion of our season. We will take two firsts and two thirds! Next up for the team is back to SCCA racing with Jason's P1 car will be the 2019 WeatherTech Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints, June 14 - 16. Check back soon for our weekend schedule.
